Houston Grand Opera

I am thrilled to be making my debut with Houston Grand Opera next season, conducting Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte (in German) with a starry case including Paul Appleby, Janai Brugger, Joshua Hopkins, and Aigul Khismatullina. Needless to say, this opera has a very special meaning to me after my many years and countless performances at the Met, and I’m deeply honored to have the chance to conduct it with this fantastic company in my new hometown.

There will be seven performances of the opera in early 2027, taking place on January 29 and 31; and February 4, 6, 10, 12, and 14; plus a special Family Day performance on February 13. You can see full cast and and production credits on the HGO website.
